Doors – Storm/Screen

The following standards pertain to storm/screen doors installed on the front or side
planes of the house:

  • Doors must be full view (i.e., full, open view, rectangular shaped glass).
  • The top of the kick plate will be no higher than twelve inches from the bottom of the storm/screen door.
  • The color of the door frame must match the approved color of the entry door or the trim around the entry door.
  • Beveled glass is permitted.
  • Frosted or etched glass in storm doors is not permitted.
  • Security, wrought iron, cross buck, self-storing, and storm doors with excessive kick plates, frames and ornamentation is not permitted.
  • ”Self-storing” door is permitted on the rear of the residence only.

Application Procedure

Application is not required for Storm/Screen Door as long as applicant complies with
all of the standards above.
