Spring Children’s Clothing & Toy SaleSaturday, March 21st - 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The Virginia Run CAC is sponsoring a children’s clothing and toy sale at the Virginia Run Community Center on Saturday, March 21, 2009. The sale will be on a consignment basis, with 80% going to the seller and 20% donated to families in need. Sellers will have an option to designate more of their proceeds to go to the families. Volunteers enjoy shopping early Friday night from 7:15-8:00 p.m. New this year for sellers, bring a friend and your ticket to get in early too! (Friday at 8:00). Enjoy a social shopping event with fun, food, and more. SIGN UP: Please email Donilee at dlandbill@verizon.net or call 703-818-1976 to sign up and receive a seller’s code. Even if you already have a code, you need to confirm your participation. This will ensure that you receive proper credit for your items and that we can get your check out to you after the sale. Not signing up with Donilee creates a great deal of difficulty with tracking sales and significantly delays the output of funds after the sale. Sellers shop Friday night at 8:00 p.m. VOLUNTEER: Email Donilee at dlandbill@verizon.net or call 703-818-1976 to sign up to volunteer. There are 3 hour shifts available on Friday afternoon and evening between 3:30 and 10:30pm and on Saturday all day from 7:45am until 4:00pm. Come get to know your neighbors better, help out with a worthy cause, and get some great bargains in the process. Volunteer workers shop Friday night at 7:15 p.m.! TAGGING PARTY: We will have TAGGING PARTY on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. This will be a social opportunity for procrastinators, as well as a learning opportunity for new sellers. You will have use of our tagging supplies, and input on pricing of items from experienced sellers. Items can be hung up that evening, avoiding some of the rush on Friday. The $3.00 supply fee still applies. We encourage you to reserve tagging guns in advance, but this time might be helpful for last minute or hard to price items. DROP OFF: Items can be dropped off and set up on Thursday March 19th between 7:00-9:00pm or on Friday, March 20th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Items will not be accepted after 6:30 p.m. due to time limitations on the set-up. There is a $3.00 overhead cost per participant, which pays for advertising, racks and other equipment. This charge will be deducted out of your seller check. When dropping off please check in with the volunteer worker to confirm your code and address, and to receive your shopping pass. TAGGING: You have the option to tag your items with one of our professional tagging guns. A quick and easy way to give your items a finished look as well as to ensure your tags will not fall off. Girls and boys SPRING and SUMMER clothing, sizes infant to 14 in good condition. Shoes MUST BE tied together or in a ziplock bag. Items MUST BE clean and fresh! No holes, stains, missing buttons, etc. Let’s face it -- this sale is so successful because of the quality of the items we offer. Our volunteer staff will be instructed to remove all items that are not in good condition or are the wrong season.2. Outgrown toys, baby equipment, bikes, books, puzzles, sports equipment, riding toys, etc. (NO BROKEN OR MISSING PARTS PLEASE!) Use tape to seal boxes and ziplock bags for toys with small pieces. 3. NO MATERNITY CLOTHING, NO STUFFED ANIMALS, AND NO CAR SEATS PREPARING YOUR ITEMS FOR THE SALE: · Put all clothing on hangers facing left. · Tag your items in the upper right hand corner with masking tape or use our tagging guns.· If you do not want your items to sell for1/2 price at the end of the sale write ‘NO’ on your labels in red ink. · Print clearly in blue or black ink only as shown below: Seller Code #Size of ItemPrice (determined by seller)Call Donilee at (703) 818-1976 or dlandbill@verizon.net now for your code number and to reserve your space!!Remember…Reservations for sellers are necessary to ensure you get proper credit for your items.DONATIONS:Too busy to sell this year? We will tag and sell gently used clothing, toys, books, puzzles, baby equipment, etc. 100% of those proceeds will be donated to a local cause.
