Trash Service - Patriot Disposal
Posted on Sep 23rd, 2019

Patriot Disposal will collect trash on Mondays and trash and recycling on Thursdays.  The final yard waste for recycling collection for the season was Monday, December 9th.  Recycled yard waste collection will resume on Monday, March 2, 2020.  Yard waste can still be placed at the curb on Mondays and will be collected with the trash pick-up. Click here for the Patriot Disposal Welcome Letter.

Live Christmas trees, free of all decorations, will be picked-up at the curb on Saturday, January 11th and Wednesday, January 15th for recycling.  After those days, the trees can be placed at the curb non trash days for disposal in the landfill.

All trash must be placed in the toter to accommodate the automatic side loading (ASL) trucks and the toter must be placed at the curb with the handle towards the house and the arrow on the lid facing the street.  Recycling toters are not on the new automatic system yet so broken down boxes can still be placed at the curb for the Thursday recycling pick-up.

Fairfax County is no longer accepting glass in curbside recycling.  Glass can be placed in your trash toter or delivered to one of the 21 purple glass recycling containers around the county.  Locations are available here.
